I’m from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. I recently moved to Manchester after joining the British Cycling Senior Academy and ride for Great Britain on the track. I first got into cycling as a 13 year old after being inspired by the 2016 Olympics. I started with riding cyclocross with my local Go Ride club but my focus now is road and track.
I had a pretty successful final season as a Junior in 2021. My main highlights were winning the European Junior Team Pursuit title, getting 5th in the Junior Worlds time trial and being part of the winning team for the Junior Worlds road race.
Favourite race: I enjoy racing team pursuit on the track. On the road I’ve enjoyed racing some kermesses and the UK town centre crits. I also really enjoyed racing the Junior Worlds road race in Leuven as the atmosphere was crazy!
Favourite food: A nice spicy curry
Favourite warm up tunes: Anything with a good beat but Power by Kanye West appears in a lot of my warm up playlists.
What are you looking forward to most in 2022: I’m excited to be getting stuck into some road racing abroad and racing in the elite category against some of the best riders in the world.
