Today’s GP Féminin de Chambéry brought mixed fortunes and lots of valuable experience for the team. Katie Scott was our top finisher in 39th overall and just outside the top 10 in the under 23 category.

It was our first time racing in this beautiful region of France. As we anticipated on the recon ride, it was a tough attritional race from the start, with two challenging climbs on the second circuit.
It was Sara’s debut racing with team and Emma’s first race in 2022 after recovering from injury and it was great to see them working well in the team.

It was a parcours that suited Danni’s strengths and she was going well. But it wasn’t to be as she suffered a mechanical so was unable to finish the race.

Simon Howes, team manager and DS for the race commented, “Becky and Katie rode really well together in the group they were in. Some great team work going into the penultimate climb helped Katie get away from the group. Katie’s form is improving race by race, which is really great to see after the hard work she has put in this winter to improve herself.”
Tomorrow we race again at the Ronde de Mouscron in Belgium.
