Monday brought new experiences for the team as we raced GP della Liberazione PINK for the first time. This one day 96km race takes place on a 6km circuit in Rome. A tough and technical course made for some fast and furious racing and some good practice pre-Tour Series.
With the bunch being whittled down every lap, Becky took a flyer off the front part way through the race. Katie and Beth were caught in the second half of the peloton as it split and fought hard on the front of their group to try and claw it back but were unable to make it to the main bunch, but it certainly wasn’t for want of trying.

Jess was on fantastic form and, after 2.5 hours of racing, was our top finisher in 32nd in the group just behind the break. Out of 120 starters only 37 finished as the organisers were strict with the time cut offs, so the rest of the team were unfortunately pulled before the finish.
