CAMS-Basso ended a stunning Women’s Tour 2022 as the Best of the Brits. Finishing as the top placed British team with the Best British Rider, Becky Storrie who came 15th on GC.

Danni Shrosbree was hungry to go on the attack and was poised near the front ready for the opportunity. On the second time of trying she managed to escape with a good sized group which contained most of the main teams within. The group worked together to build a lead but Team DSM were determined to reel them in for another sprint finish.

After the break came back, the goal of the day for CAMS-Basso was to work together to protect Becky Storrie and ensure she crossed the line with the peloton to retain her position on GC. As the pace picked up, riders were being shelled from the back of the peloton and the whole team worked to stay together in the peloton. In the closing stages Shrosbree kept Storrie safe on her wheel and negotiated the hectic and technical run into Oxford.
