Becky Storrie Joins CAMS-Basso

We are delighted to announce the signing of Becky Storrie for the remainder of the 2021 season. Storrie has been riding for CAMS-Basso development team, Cycle Team OnForm, this year where she has had a fantastic season.

Storrie, who is from the Isle of Man, made the transition from elite triathlon to cycling just three years ago. A strong climber, she has won the Scottish Hill Climb Championships 2019 in a course record time and British U23 Hill Climb Championships 2020, finishing third overall in the senior women’s category.

Since winning the Scottish National Road Race Championships in July, the 22 year old has gone from strength to strength on the road. After finishing third from the breakaway in the Capernwray Road Race, she was in the breakaway again with now teammate, Illi Gardner, at the recent Rydale GP. Storrie went on to finish second.

Team Manager, Simon Howes is excited to see another rider move to CAMS-Basso from OnForm. He said, “My cycling team management journey has been very special for the many memorable moments and the many joyous occasions of success that have been achieved.

“With the help of very supportive and loyal sponsors, it’s been amazing seeing riders develop and improve and I’m really proud to be part of that journey. Becky is a really talented rider and will be a fantastic addition to the team.”

A recent graduate from Stirling University in Psychology and Sport Studies, Storrie has also shown her talent in e-sports. Earlier this year she took part in a gruelling selection process alongside 5,000 female riders worldwide and was one of just four women that was selected to race for the Movistar eTeam in the Premier Division of the Zwift Racing League.

Storrie joins the team with immediate effect and she will make her team debut at the Rás na mBan in Ireland next month.
